NorStore Research Data Management training seminar - Oslo

UNINETT Sigma invites Norwegian researchers to the 1st NorStore Research Data Management training seminar in Oslo on Wednesday 7 January 2015.

Today many research projects produce sets of digital data (datasets) from which the research findings are derived. During the project's lifetime the datasets need to be reliably managed. Once the project has finished and the findings have been published researchers are increasingly finding value in keeping the datasets and reusing them in future projects either as a reference or to augment the new datasets. The NorStore project was established to provide a central set of services for data management that cover the entire data life-cycle.

The aim of the Research Data Management training seminar is to provide researchers with information on the available set of NorStore services for managing research data. The seminar will cover some of the challenges in dataset management and will describe the NorStore services that exist, how to apply for and use those services and the services that are planned in the near future.
