Sigma2 has made an agreement with Intel for a compiler site licence.

The new licence covers all systems hosted by Sigma2 and all services provisioned through Sigma2 to authenticated users of our services.

The new agreement replaces today's 14-token floating licence covering our HPC, NIRD and service platform. Both Intel Parallel Studio and the new Intel one-API are covered through this agreement.

Compiling large applications can be quite time-consuming, and the new site licence can speed up builds by allowing for larger parallel compiles, which at present quickly will consume all available licence tokens. This could accidentally prevent other users from compiling their applications at the same time.

We expect the agreement to take effect shortly.
