Earlier this year, the Norwegian government granted a one-time additional allocation to Sigma2 to assist the research community in safeguarding datasets currently stored abroad, which may face the risk of deletion or loss.
We have acquired extra storage capacity for this initiative and wish to inform researchers about the opportunity to secure valuable data on NIRD.
The NIRD ecosystem offers various services that may be suitable candidates for your datasets, contingent upon their FAIRness and readiness for widespread sharing or targeted collaboration with specific projects. These services include the NIRD Data Lake, Central Data Library, and NIRD Research Data Archive.
