We are proud to announce the appointment of Hildegunn Vada as our new Managing Director.
This appointment comes at a pivotal time, as Sigma2 establishes itself as a key national player in the Norwegian government’s initiative for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC).
Following a rigorous recruitment process with a high calibre of applicants, the Board of Sigma2 has selected Hildegunn Vada to lead the company forward.

Hildegunn brings extensive experience in the development and management of national digital services for the knowledge sector. She joins us from Sikt – the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research, where she has led the work on Feide in recent years. She is well known for her commitment to developing services that deliver genuine value to both society and end-users.
-We are delighted to welcome such an accomplished leader as Hildegunn Vada to the team. She will play a vital role in our ambition to evolve Sigma2 at a time when access to computing power and AI infrastructure is becoming increasingly critical, says Tom Røtting, Chair of the Board.
-I look forward to starting this journey and building upon the solid foundation at Sigma2. Our goal is to further strengthen our mission in support of the public sector, the business community, and the research environment, says Vada.
The outgoing Managing Director, Gunnar Bøe, will transition into a role as Special Advisor to support the company's strategic projects moving forward.
The recruitment process saw significant interest and a strong field of candidates. The Board would like to thank Search House for their excellent collaboration and for conducting a professional process.
