At the end of last year, something crucial happened to speed up the Norwegian counterpart to ChatGPT being developed by the Language Technology Group (LTG) at the University of Oslo.

We are actively planning the acquisition of Norway's next supercomputer and aim to ensure sufficient HPC capacity for researchers in 2025-2029. This will be the first national supercomputer installed in our data hall inside the mountain at Lefdal Mine Datacenter.

MAS is our resource administration system, a software solution that supports our applications and resource processes. The system has been in use since 2010, and this project has aimed to enhance the user experience.

The project is in the planning phase, and we are happy to share that soon we will complete the high-level design of the new research archive and the MVP (minimum viable product).
